Ingredients:
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
- 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 lb sirloin steak, trimmed of excess fat and sliced into thin strips
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 5.3 oz Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tsp lemon zest
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven broiler to high.
- Lightly brush one side of each baguette slice with olive oil.
- Place slices oil-side up on a baking sheet and broil for 1–2 minutes until golden brown and firm.
- Pat the sirloin strips dry with a paper towel and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat avocado oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add steak strips in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until a dark brown crust forms and the center is medium-rare.
- Remove steak from the pan and let rest for a few minutes to prevent the cheese from melting upon assembly.
- Spread a layer of softened Boursin cheese onto each toasted baguette slice.
- Top each crostini with a piece of seared steak, then garnish with chopped parsley and lemon zest.
