Ingredients:
- 1 sheet (480g) puff pastry, thawed but chilled
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 0.5 tsp (3g) sea salt
- 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
- 0.5 cup (50g) sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded
- 0.25 cup (25g) Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 1 tsp (2g) garlic powder
- 2 tbsp (8g) fresh chives, finely chopped
- 0.25 tsp (1g) black pepper
Instructions:
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, Parmesan, garlic powder, chives, and pepper. Stir until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Roll out the chilled puff pastry sheet slightly on parchment paper to smooth any creases. Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into 24 equal squares (roughly 2-inch / 5cm squares).
- Place a small, centered dollop (about 1 tsp) of the cheese mixture in the middle of each square. Bring the four corners of the pastry together in the center and pinch them firmly to seal.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the bites on the baking sheet, brush the tops with beaten egg wash, and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
