Ingredients:
- 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour (65g)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (28g)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (12g)
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar (25g)
- 2 teaspoons milk (10g)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (1g)
- 1 pinch fine sea salt (0.1g)
- 2 tablespoons mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (30g)
Instructions:
- Place the all-purpose flour in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until an instant-read thermometer confirms the flour has reached 160°F (71°C). Let the flour cool for 2 minutes to avoid melting the butter.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Use a fork to cream the mixture until light and pale.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, sea salt and 2 teaspoons of milk until well combined.
- Stir in the sifted, heat-treated flour until a thick dough forms, and the dough pulls away from the sides and forms a cohesive ball.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips and serve immediately.
