Ingredients:
- 8 oz low-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 lb lean ground beef (93% lean)
- 1 cup chunky salsa, drained
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish, smoothing it out to the edges.
- Place the lean ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir and crumble the meat until it is no longer pink, then drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the smoked paprika and cumin, cooking for another 60 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat.
- Spoon the seasoned beef over the cream cheese base and spread it evenly.
- Pour the drained salsa over the beef and finish with a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are slightly golden brown.
