Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 packet (28g) ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits, crumbled
- 2 tbsp green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- Place the softened room temperature cream cheese and sour cream in a large mixing bowl. Note: Cold cheese creates lumps.
- Beat the cream cheese and sour cream together using a spatula or hand mixer on medium speed.
- Blend 2 minutes until the mixture is velvety and completely smooth.
- Stir in the ranch seasoning mix.
- Mix until the color is a consistent pale cream and no powder streaks remain.
- Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add the crispy bacon bits and sliced green onions.
- Stir slowly until ingredients are just incorporated, ensuring the bacon remains distinct and doesn't dissolve into the base.
- Transfer the Creamy Crack Dip to a serving bowl.
- Cover and refrigerate for 60 minutes until the dip is chilled and set.
