Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet (28g) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions:

  1. Place the softened room temperature cream cheese and sour cream in a large mixing bowl. Note: Cold cheese creates lumps.
  2. Beat the cream cheese and sour cream together using a spatula or hand mixer on medium speed.
  3. Blend 2 minutes until the mixture is velvety and completely smooth.
  4. Stir in the ranch seasoning mix.
  5. Mix until the color is a consistent pale cream and no powder streaks remain.
  6. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Add the crispy bacon bits and sliced green onions.
  8. Stir slowly until ingredients are just incorporated, ensuring the bacon remains distinct and doesn't dissolve into the base.
  9. Transfer the Creamy Crack Dip to a serving bowl.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for 60 minutes until the dip is chilled and set.
