Ingredients:
- 3 lbs chicken wing sections (flats and drums)
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup cayenne pepper sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions:
- Pat the wings bone-dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until every wing is lightly dusted.
- For oven cooking: Preheat to 425°F (218°C). Place a wire rack on a baking sheet and arrange wings in a single layer. Bake for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- For air fryer cooking: Arrange wings in the basket without overcrowding. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket every 8 minutes.
- While wings cook, melt the butter over low heat and whisk in the hot sauce, honey, and cayenne pepper.
- Remove wings from heat and immediately toss them in the prepared sauce to coat.
