Ingredients:
- 2 lbs lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions:
- Place the raw ground beef into the bottom of the slow cooker and gently break the meat into large chunks with your hands or a spoon.
- Sprinkle the combined seasoning blend (chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper) evenly over the meat.
- Pour the beef broth around the edges of the pot to ensure the spices hydrate.
- Cover with the lid and cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 8 hours, avoiding lifting the lid during the process.
- Once cooking is complete, use a wooden spoon to break the beef into small, uniform crumbles and stir well to incorporate the juices.
