Ingredients:
- 190g All-purpose flour
- 150g Granulated sugar
- 5g Baking powder
- 3g Salt
- 120ml Vegetable oil
- 50g Egg, room temperature
- 120ml Whole milk, room temperature
- 7ml Pure vanilla extract
- 225g Unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 360g Powdered sugar, sifted
- 30ml Heavy whipping cream
- 5ml Pure vanilla extract
- 1g Salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your 4-inch pans.
- Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- In a separate vessel, beat the oil, egg, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet until the batter is smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the two pans and bake for 22–25 minutes.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Beat the softened butter until pale and airy, then slowly add powdered sugar.
- Pour in the heavy cream, vanilla, and salt, and whip until velvety.
- Place one cooled layer on a plate and spread a generous layer of vanilla frosting on top.
