Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (58g) Grape-Nuts Cereal
  • 2/3 cup (160ml) Whole Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Saigon Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt

Instructions:

  1. Combine 160ml whole milk, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp maple syrup, and a pinch of salt in a small saucepan. Whisking while cold prevents cinnamon clumping.
  2. Set the burner to medium heat. Cook until small bubbles form around the edges and steam begins to rise.
  3. Place 58g of cereal into a sturdy ceramic bowl. Ceramic retains heat longer than plastic or glass.
  4. Pour the steaming milk mixture directly over the cereal.
  5. Allow the bowl to sit for 2 minutes until the kernels slightly soften.
  6. Give it a quick toss to ensure the cinnamon hasn't settled at the bottom.
  7. If you prefer it softer, let it sit for another 60 seconds.
  8. Top with an extra tiny dust of cinnamon if you want that visual wow factor.
