Terms of Use
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of gimmebites.com (the "Site"), a recipe website operated under the name Gimme Bites ("we", "us", "our"). Please read them before you use the Site.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Site.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms apply to everyone who visits or uses the Site, including people who browse recipes, submit a rating or comment, or send us a message through the contact form. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information the Site handles and why.
You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to use the interactive features of the Site.
2. Use of Content and Copyright
The text, recipes, images, graphics, layout and other material on the Site are owned by Gimme Bites or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The Gimme Bites name and logo may not be used without our written permission.

Copyright concerns
If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, please contact us with the address of the page in question, a description of the work you believe has been copied, and your contact details. We will review the request and respond.
3. User Submissions
The Site lets visitors submit recipe ratings and comments (a name and the text you write) and send private messages through the contact form (name, email address and message).
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for what you submit. Please keep it honest, respectful and relevant to the recipe or your question.
- What is not allowed. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, misleading or spam-like, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or personal information about other people.
- License to us. By submitting a rating or comment, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display it on the Site in connection with the recipe it relates to. You keep ownership of your own words.
- Moderation. We may edit, decline to publish or remove submissions that break these Terms or that we consider inappropriate.
- Contact messages. Messages sent through the contact form are used only to reply to you.
Comments and ratings reflect the opinions of the people who wrote them, not the views of Gimme Bites. Experiences shared by readers, including substitutions or changed cooking times, have not been reviewed by us, so apply your own judgment before following them.
4. Recipe and Nutrition Disclaimer
Please read this section carefully before cooking.
Recipes on the Site are developed and edited for clear steps, realistic times and temperatures, ingredient substitutions and food-safety notes. They are provided for general informational purposes and are not a guarantee of any particular result.
Results vary
Cooking outcomes depend on many things we cannot control: your oven or stove, cookware, altitude, ingredient brands and freshness, measuring methods and experience. Times and temperatures are guides, so your own results may differ from what a recipe describes.
Food safety and doneness
You are responsible for preparing and storing food safely. Wash your hands and surfaces, keep raw and cooked foods separate, refrigerate leftovers promptly, and check that ingredients are fresh. Always verify doneness with a food thermometer rather than by appearance or time alone.
Common minimum internal temperatures recommended by food-safety authorities include 165°F (74°C) for poultry and 160°F (71°C) for ground beef, and you should follow current guidance from your local food-safety authority.
Allergens and dietary needs
Many recipes contain common allergens such as dairy, eggs, wheat, nuts, soy, fish or shellfish, and a substitution may introduce new ones. Always read the labels of every ingredient you use. Labels such as "healthy", "light", "vegetarian" or "gluten-free" are general guidance only; if you have an allergy, intolerance or medical dietary requirement, confirm that every ingredient suits you before you cook or serve a dish.
Nutrition information
Any nutrition values on the Site are estimates. They vary with brands, portion sizes, ingredient substitutions and preparation methods, and should not be treated as exact.
Not medical or dietary advice
Nothing on the Site is medical, nutritional or dietary advice, and it does not replace advice from a qualified health professional. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are preparing food for infants, young children or other vulnerable people, consult a doctor or registered dietitian first. Baby food and children's recipes in particular should be adapted to the age and needs of the child.
5. Third-Party Links and Advertising
The Site may contain links to other websites and services, including our social profile on Pinterest, and may display advertising provided by third parties. We do not own or control those websites or advertisers and are not responsible for their content, products, services, or privacy practices. Linking to or displaying a third party does not mean we endorse it.
If you follow a link or interact with an ad, the third party's own terms and privacy policy apply. We encourage you to read them. Our own handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers or its security features.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or to other people's information.
- Send spam, unsolicited promotions or repetitive automated requests through the Site's forms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any recipe will suit your needs or produce a particular result. Although we work to keep recipes clear and accurate, mistakes can occur.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gimme Bites and the people who operate it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content.
This includes, without limitation, illness, injury, allergic reaction, property damage or other harm resulting from preparing, serving or eating any food based on a recipe from the Site, and any damage caused by third-party content or websites.

When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms, so please check this page periodically.
