Welcome to Bites, where culinary dreams come to life! I'm Michelle Husserl, a Le Cordon Bleu trained patisserie chef with a passion for creating delectable delights. At just 24 years old, I moved to Europe to attend culinary school where I ventured into the vibrant world of baking. Soon after I opened an American-style bakery called Baketique in the heart of London. This venture quickly expanded and blossomed into a baking school, where I shared my expertise with eager learners of all ages. 

Over the last 12 years living in London, I have created prestigious partnerships, opened multiple pop-up shops and expanded into incredible concessions, including a high end cupcakery nestled in the iconic Harvey Nichols. My journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Catering events for esteemed clientele, including the royal family and renowned brands like Chanel, Gucci and Harry Winston, further fueled my culinary adventures. However, life's amazing twists and turns led me to marry an incredible Brit and embrace motherhood, recently having a beautiful baby girl. Our new addition sparked my desire to reconnect with my roots in New Jersey, aiming to be nearer to my family, particularly my Mom, who reigns as the original baking queen. Now, I'm thrilled to unveil a fresh chapter of my bakery journey with Bites, in Red Bank.

Bites isn't a bakery—it's an experience. Our baking school welcomes enthusiasts of all ages, starting from 18 months old. From introducing babies to healthy culinary experiences to guiding adults through the art of cupcake baking and frosting, there's something for everyone. Whether you're indulging in dessert pairings and champagne afternoons with friends or hosting princess and superhero-themed cupcake decorating parties for little ones, the possibilities are endless.

My expertise lies in crafting homemade, irresistible treats that ignite joy with every bite. Collaborating with local businesses, I'm excited to bring our classes to various venues while also offering personalized experiences with private in-home sessions. From mastering baking techniques to unleashing your creativity through decorating, Bites is here to fulfill your culinary aspirations.
